Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Rungs (the "Platform", the "Service"), operated by Ladders Social ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms, in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Indian law.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

Nature of the service

Rungs is a personal relationship management application — an AI-assisted personal CRM — that lets you:

• Store contact and relationship information
• Record structured and unstructured notes
• Generate AI-assisted insights
• Retrieve contextual information about your contacts

Rungs is not a public social network or a brokerage platform.

Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872
• Provide accurate information during registration

We reserve the right to suspend accounts found in violation.

Your responsibilities

You represent and warrant that:

• You have a lawful basis to store and process the contact information you enter.
• You will not upload unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing or harmful content.
• You will not misuse the AI features for illegal activity.
• You will comply with applicable privacy and data protection law.

You are solely responsible for the data you input.

Data storage options

By default, data is stored securely on our servers.

You may opt out of server-side storage, subject to:

• Functional limitations
• Reduced AI capabilities
• Local-device-only retention

We are not responsible for data loss arising from local storage choices.

Intellectual property

• All Platform content, design, AI models, branding and proprietary workflows are owned by Ladders Social or licensed to it.
• You retain ownership of the content you upload.
• You grant Ladders Social a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the Service.

AI-generated content

AI-assisted insights:

• May be inaccurate
• Are probabilistic outputs
• Should not be relied on as legal, financial or professional advice

You are responsible for independent verification.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law:

• The Platform is provided "as is".
• We disclaim warranties of uninterrupted or error-free service.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months.

We are not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of opportunity
• Loss of business goodwill
• Data entered by users

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Breach of these Terms
• Fraudulent or unlawful conduct
• Risk to system integrity

You may delete your account at any time.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Amendments

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
